I have tracked several storm cells over the last 2 weeks and am amazed at the constant building of the clouds only to see them dissipate just as they come close to us. I recently read where Arizona is unique in that most of the storms in Northern Arizona do not come in from California but rather build themselves using the climate conditions that exist here on the rim. Thus the coming and going of the moisture in the clouds and our hit or miss storms.
Let me know if any of you have additional info on this subject.
